XRAI Provides Live Captioning for Sports & Stadiums

The England Womens Deaf Football team use innovative new AR tech providing live subtitles during training

XRAI Glass, innovative new smart-glasses tech from company XRAI, convert audio into visuals - turning speech into subtitles in real-time. The app listens to conversations happening around the user and displays a live transcription in the glasses, allowing deaf people to ‘see’ conversations!

A segment broadcast on The One Show shows how this groundbreaking technology is now being used by the England Womens Deaf Football Team to help during training.

The live captioning feature offered by XRAI’s technology facilitates seamless communication by generating subtitles instantaneously, greatly benefiting individuals in the D/deaf community who previously had to rely solely on lip-reading or cochlear implants. This innovation not only simplifies everyday conversations but also reduces the cognitive load associated with auditory processing for D/deaf people.

The glasses have been featured in Health Tech World.

With proper funding, Deaf Sports First wishes to develop a research project focused on XRAI Glass and Deaf Sports.
